G Is For Gumshoe

In the seventh edition of the 'alphabet' murder mystery series, our favorite female gumshoe, Kinsey Millhone, is hired to find Agnes Gray. A simple missing person job should be a snap for a talented and experienced private eye like Kinsey. However before you can say 'missing' there is something terribly amiss with this case.
Kinsey learns that there is a contract hit out on her, and the cops can only suggest that she just might want to hire a bodyguard to protect herself from assignation. Robert Dietz, is a burned out private investigator that is supposed to protect Kinsey. As things progress it looks like the relationship between Kinsey and Dietz will be a lot more complicated than either one of them suspects.
As for the missing Mrs. Gray. She is soon found but then dies and the mystery of murder most foul becomes even murkier than ever.
