Peril at End House, Agatha Christie
This mystery, published in 1932, finds Poirot vacationing at the Majestic Hotel on the Cornish coast. A very young an pretty woman, Nick Buckley, enlists Poirot's aid as she believes someone is trying to murder her.

Nicky Buckley is the last namesake of a long line of Buckleys who have inhabited End House. One more thing...Nicky feels that her home is haunted by a sympathetic ghost.
