Originally published as, Death in the Air, this mystery is a high-flying tale that presents Hercule Poirot with one of his greatest challenges. Poirot is one of 21 passengers aboard an airplane traveling from Le Bourget Airport in France to London.

However, high above the English Channel a murder of a female passenger occurs and remains unnoticed by any of the other passengers, including Poirot, until the plane touches down and lands in England. How could a murder happen under these incredible circumstances? Even more shocking is that a famous detective would be as completely baffled by the murder as anyone else.

When Poirot is on a case, however, you can bet that he will put every ounce of his little gray cells to the test and solve the mystery. The first clue is a small dark spot on the victim's neck. Could she have died from the sting of a wasp? "No," prounounces our Belgian sleuth. She did from a venom-tipped dart shot from a blowpipe of a South African tribe. Aaaah! Life is never boring when Hercule Poirot is on the case!
