Fame might be more than enough for most country girls turned big city superstars. For Anna Nicole Smith ... being famous for simply being famous ... was not enough. She’d always wanted it all. Dropping out of her Texas high school at 17 to marry her boyfriend, Billy Smith, Anna Nicole (known back-in-the-day as Vicki Lynn) soon gave birth to her son, Daniel. By 1993 she was all-too-ready to put marriage behind her and move on with dreams of becoming America’s next Marilyn Monroe.

Beautiful and buxom, Anna Nicole quickly traversed the celebrity ladder from an exotic dancer in a Houston strip club to being voted Playmate of the Year in 1993.
Building on her ‘assets’, Anna was soon tucked into a tight pair of Guess jeans and thousands of fans ogled her larger-than-life backside on a billboard in Times Square. Anna Nicole had fame. Fortune was soon to follow. In 1994, 26-year old Anna married octogenarian Texas oil tycoon, J. Howard Marshal. At 89, who’s to say that it wasn’t true love?

Sugar-daddy Marshall died happy but his relatives certainly were not smiling when Anna claimed Marshall’s 1.6 billion dollar estate.
The May-December romance ended when Marshall died just one year after tying the knot with his blonde bombshell bride. Years of legal wrangling ensued culminating with Anna testifying at a Supreme Court hearing. Bowled over by Anna’s beauty (or swayed by legal arguments?), the court granted Anna’s petition to pursue her legal claim to the Marshall fortune.
